Late Delivery!

Its exactly 64 days after my trip to the US today. I was really all excited since it was my first time after all. hehehe Travelling outside the country for me always leaves a huge hole in my pocket since is like buying either photo equipment or hobby stuff. Well for my US trip, it was more of my running goodies. hehehe. Thanks to my sachie(third older sister) and to my discovery of COSTCO!!!!! hahahahaha That place is huge! hehehe and lots of snacks! You could practically get full there by just taste testing all the stuff that their promo guys are cooking. Well that's if you are that thick faced! hahahaha.... Well aside from the usual choco goodies, I found that they sell POWERBARS at a really cheap price! 19bucks to be exact! thats not bad! since its 24pcs a box right! Well i got about 4 boxes that day from COSTCO. Plus 2 boxes of PowerGel and some GU from the LAM trade show. My bag was practically full just from my goodies! hehehehe.... Well i ended up leaving most of the stuff with my sister. They promised me that they would include it in their balikbayan box for my parents. Well today, this came in from our friendly freight service from the south luzon! Oh and my sister bought the Pria she tought I was on a strict diet kasi. hehehe j/k sorry for the phone cam shot and lousy photoshop work. :)

Meet Pao!

RC was in our office yesterday for an interview. So i mentioned if he was interested in a short run. Well he always is, kaso nga lang parating nang iindyan! hehehe The good thing was that he needed to bring me back some stuff which i needed for my shoot today. :) So i just said that i'd get it from him after our run. hahahaha

About 630pm I read some replies from h@ppy and i saw this one post and invite for a 415AM run!!!!! 415AM! This new guy(Pao) is tough! I mean real tough! I don't know if any of the h@ppyFeet members are excited to run at 415AM! Well, Leo and mon might... pero most of us.... nah..... everyone's either an afternoon person or plain old sleepyheads like me! hehehe

And so gave him an invite also for our not so early run! at 8pm hehehe and guess what? He was interested. After some SMS we were all at the usual makati short run meeting place SALCEDO PARK. :) yep! This place has become an official h@ppyFeet makati short run meeting place! :)

Sadly we were only able to do 1 loop covering

Salcedo Park
out to Paseo De Roxas
then right to Makati Ave
crossed Ayala Ave then
Legazpi Street
back to Paseo de roxas
then Left at Dela rosa back to Salcedo park.

by my very scientific calculations....... i bet we did about 5kish or less. hehehehehe The run was ok, Pace was good thanx to RC and Pao.

10,500ft and ways to freeze your n@ts

It wasn't really a nice looking saturday 5-26-07 early morning sun. We went to an undisclosed location (signed a confi waiver) for our almost half day flight. Packed with all the CF cards, 2 canon mark2 bodies and a nikon set for myself. My boss... lets call him Jose... was briefing our pilot his "flight plan" for the trip. And i was on the other side of the room chit chatting with the video guy i went with some past projects ago. :) All is well and cleared. Chopper is filled with A1 aviation fuel enough for a 5 hour flight. I then helped the 2 production staff in wearing their double lanyard full-body harness. So why the full-body harness you ask??? Cause we were going to fly hmmmm... 10,000++ ft with open canopy doors and to make the situation worse the client needed a top angle. :D

Good thing the Chopper Mech did some minor customizing and was able to make more room inside by taking out some of the back rest. Well spending some 30++ mins at 4000++ cruising altitude was ok. but upon reaching our destination the chopper was climbing really fast. Just by the mere popping sound in my ears i know we were really climbing high for this shoot. Then came the time when they opened the door! and that first cold air whipped thru my fingers! No Sh@T!!!!!!! its freezing cold!!!!!!!! and guess what????? We had to stay at that altitude for the rest of the shoot. :( I saw the video guy's hand shaking wildly! :D I can't imagine what the client is going to see in his footage?!?! hehehehehe (no offense mate!) and then came the constant dripping(literally) of mucus in all of our nose! hehehehehe I know its wierd but the extreme change in temperature really was taking toll on all of us! Specially them! hahahahahaha good thing i was protected by the pilots cabin. Only my hands suffered in the bitter cold cause i had to constantly hold the freaking GPS unit for Jose to see and shoot for waypoint reference!

Anyway.... i did enjoy my first 10500ft aerial flight and my longest aerial shoot ever! 5+ hours airborne!
