Diet.......

Ever since I started training I noticed that my diet also needed a few kicks here and there. As what I learned from the Chasing Kimbia Documentaries and Ka Totoy, I need to add more fruits into my diet. And so I did......

Pre-Workout Snack 4am:
1pc Dole Banana (c/o 7-11 pioneer)

After workout recovery snack 730am:
Pineapple (half) and Watermelon (quarter) (c/o Mang Jun )

Breakfast 9am:
Rice Meal

Lunch 12:30pm:
Rice Meal(light serving), 1pc banana

Afternoon snack 4:30pm:
Rice Meal(light serving)

Dinner 9pm:
Rice Meal, Pineapple (half), Protein shake (if I'm not lazy to prepare)

I try to avoid salty and sweet cravings but always fail. hehehe Thanks to my ever favorite Chippy and any dark chocolates. Coach Jo insists that I need to loose about 10lbs more to get into a good race weight. I'm just not sure if I'll be focused enough to say no to the tasty treats. :)

I'd like to compare notes and see just how much of a pig I am compared to the rest of humanity. Kindly log your diet, I don't mind if you post anonymously :)

hmmm... grabe ka ben!!! sobra ka na. hehehe. Pero kasi depende talaga yan sa goals mo e. Kung sa tingin mong kailangan talaga yan e di go for it.

Fruit is for your mineral and vitamin C requiremetn while Vegetable is for your vitamin A, B, D and K. Fish is for your protein and good cholesterol. If you eat these three kinds of food, you don't need any supplementary vitamins. Easy to say but hard to do because sometimes we don't have time to buy these things everyday. We eat what is already in our table for ref.

Hey, it's christmas! You're not allowed to talk about diets during the holidays.

10 lbs?! Isn't that way too much! You're so thin already.

I can't list my diet since it's erratic but my food consists mostly of wheat bread, veggies, bananas, papaya, apple, grapes, oatmeal, peanut butter, yoghurt, eggs, fish. I sound so good but I also fail miserably at keeping the treats away. Just had 2 brownies. Yum.

Ben - Get a nutritionist to give you advice. I feel that portion control works for me. lakas ko kasi mag-extra rice. (parang kargador) But there are days when I go vegetarian.

Lower weight by itself does not guarantee faster times.

Good luck sa sub-20!

For me not much of a diet hehehe the usual 3 times a day meal, but lately i tried bread + banana + hot choco in the morning , fish & veggie for lunch then dinner rice again. pag nag gym ako sa gabi apple for meryenda then bread na lang sa gabi and hot choco.

Congrats nga pla to the 3 of you for winning 3rd place in DND-AFP run.

I eat very heavy breakfast, except on run days, where I just eat enough. My carb sources are usually pasta or rice noodles, brown rice, saging na saba or kamote.

Lunch ko usually composed of greens.

Thankfully I don't like sweets generally except for chocolates.

:) I figured that I really need to learn how to portion my meals properly. The only problem now is that I will soon learn how much food i'm really taking in and might just stop the whole diet thing. hahahaha

Yup 10lbs! With my frame I need to be at least 135lbs.... I think its the same as weight division as Manny "pacman" Pacquiao is fighting in right?! hehehehe

I just reached my quota for the sweet treats today! Reeses is evil! :)

This is what I had when I WAS trying to cut down my weight before. Coupled with regular training, I lost more than 20lbs in around 2 months.

-Really HEAVY breakfast! (gabundok na kanin and whatever oily and fatty food I can grab)

- Veggie or fruit snack like an apple or cucumbers. As many as you want

-A cup of rice and vegetables for lunch.

- Junkfood snack (sige na)

- Zero carb dinner, just fruits, veggies or meat.

Note: now, i'm back on my regular sisig diet but I ain't gaining any additional pounds 'coz of regular cardio.
